The roar of motorbikes in the Southland Mall on Saturday afternoon announced the beginning of the second annual Saskatchewan Sport Bikes Association's Memorial Ride in memory of Chris Hood.

"You never get over the loss of a child,'' said Chuck Hood, whose 24-year-old son Chris died in March of 2007 in a snowmobile accident.

"So this is just a ride in Chris' honour because he touched a lot of lives in his life. So we are here to honour him,'' said Hood as he wiped a stray tear from his eye.
