The Leader-PostPublished: Tuesday, October 07, 2008I would like to send out a heartfelt "Thank you!" to the many generous motorcycle enthus-iasts, Roughrider fans and other good-hearted citizens for the overwhelming support of the Regina Motorcycle Association's Annual (RMAI) Toy Run, which was held on Sept. 21. This year, we had the largest number of motorcycles ever in the Toy Parade -- 704 bikes of all makes and models! With escort and traffic control provided by members of the Regina Police Service and the Regina Fire Department, approximately 1,200 riders and passengers departed from Toys 'R' Us and finished with the toy drop-off at the Callie Curling Club. Some 1,192 new toys were collected from the Toy Run for donation to the Salvation Army. http://www.canada.com/reginaleaderpost/news/letters/story.html?id=b9e796b5-b445-42d8-894e-7fbec93ebaa7 |
