Family, friends and complete strangers pay tribute to Orion Hutchinson at the site of tragic collision

An older woman stands silently in front of the growing memorial for Orion Hutchinson; she makes the sign of the cross and pauses for a moment before walking away.

A moment later, another women stops briefly before continuing down the street.

The quiet corner in Tsawwassen has become a place for people -- those who knew him and others who are merely drawn by the tragic end to a young life -- to come and pay tribute to the 21-year-old.

Hutchinson died last Saturday night after his motorcycle collided with a Jeep at the corner of 6th Avenue and Gilchrist Drive.

On Monday morning, there were a few flowers attached to a post near the corner there. By later in the week, however, the memorial had grown and countless bouquets of flowers spread out at the base of the sign, along with a few candles and a jack o' lantern.
