Summerfest denied tourism association funding

A local group dedicated to hosting large-scale festivals in Cochrane says it’s disappointed not to have the support of the local tourist association.

Cochrane and Area Events Society (CAES) is a relatively new body that has undertaken to put on four events each year: SummerFest, WinterFest, the Labour Day Parade and Rolling Thunder, a motorcycle rally that raises awareness about the extreme hardships faced by Canadian veterans upon their return home from overseas.  READ ON
