Large touring bikes are a distinct species and on these grounds, its the minute details which make the difference. Here's a very nice piece of footage advertising the new Aprilia Caponord 1200, possibly one of the contenders in this very hard fought battle of big adventure bikes.
One thing is clear: the Caponord 1200 was not created to blow the likes of KTM 950/990 Adventure or BMW R1200GS out of the water. We incline to believe that the direct adversary for the big Aprilia is not even the freshTriumph Tiger Explorer 1200... but the Ducati Multistrada. READ ON
We've just gotten off the first Aprilia we've officially ridden in India. The Italian brand set shop in the country over a year ago, but we never got any test motorcycles, until now that is. Further, with just one dealer in the country, the brand was unable to reach out to enthusiasts despite its legacy and aspirational value. Recently a second dealership was announced in Gurgaon, but two dealers in a country as large as ours is still an uphill task for any manufacturer. Pune-based Arco Automotive, who were the first Aprilia dealers in the country provided us with the Dorsoduro 1200 ABS that went on sale in the country last year, and I've come back impressed. READ ON
2013 Aprilia RSV4 R APRC ABS and RSV4 Factory APRC ABS Test
Aprilia’s flagship and championship winning RSV4 superbike has received some important upgrades for 2013.
And the manufacturer of Noale, Italy, this weekend launched its newest RSV4 models – the RSV4 R APRC ABS and the RSV4 Factory APRC ABS – at the Estoril Circuit in Portugal. READ ON
To celebrate their stupendous win at the 2012 World Superbike Championship, Aprilia has unveiled a limited edition version of its RSV4 ABS. Dubbed the RSV4 APRC SBK ABS, the limited edition will be available only in Canada and USA. Based on the Aprilia RSV4 Factory APRC, the motorcycle will have a new iteration of the Brembo brakes called M430. Other key features include a multi-mode ABS system and updated wheelie control and traction control. READ ON

Though it was evident that Aprilia would offer its RSV4 with ABS for 2013, the details would have to remain hush until the EICMA in Milan, the motorcycle show that sets the stage for new bike releases.
And on Tuesday, the Noale-based Aprilia released all the information and photos of its new RSV4 models - the RSVR R ABS and the RSV4 Factory ABS.
These two Italian superbikes won't need much to gain popularity, considering the RSV4 just took its second World Superbike title while the retiring Max Biaggi was at the controls. READ ON
