Be still my heart. After years of inexplicable foot-dragging, the provincial government may finally be ready to ban skid lids, the pointless beanie-style helmets that born-to-be-wild bikers wear as a fashion statement.
Almost two years after the legislature passed a bill to require that helmets meet a recognized safety standard, Solicitor-General Shirley Bond says the regulation needed to give it effect will be coming soon.
