NEW StayInRevelstoke Mobi Website NOW LIVE!
The new StayInRevelstoke MOBILE website is now online! This exclusive RAA Member benefit allows users of i Phones, Blackberrys, Android phones, i Pads & assorted tablets to access a dedicated mobile website listing of all RAA Member accommodation properties.
For the initial launch, information including a descriptive of the property, amenities, special package rates for this winter season, and, up to 6 images has been included for each member property.
Community and Important Links
Along with some brief information of the community of Revelstoke, some attractions, winter and summer fun, heritage,culture & national parks, we have provided the user with a number of ‘QUICK LINKS’ to some key community and safety links including the Canadian Avalanche Center, DriveBC and Alberta Motor Association road condition sites, weather, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, transportation links and recreation. There is also a link to Sled Revelstoke, the City of Revelstoke and, importantly, a link to the official SeeRevelstoke.com website. These links are not totally exclusive or fully inclusive, but do provide a mix of key links that will be evaluated and tracked over time.
How to find my accommodation?
The site also uses GOOGLE mapping for directions to each property location. RAA will also extensively use QR tags in all print media and other applications for quick access to the mobile site and special offers that will be integrated into the site.
Another feature is the EXPLORE NEAR ME ‘geo-location finder’ so users can see which property is closest to their location. This will evolve to list more and more information in the future!
What’s a QR Tag?
More and more, you see those square tags with black or coloured squares etc. on packaging, lables, ads etc. Have you ever scanned one with your phone? If you have a Smart Phone with a camera, click on the StayInRevelstoke attachment provided and scan the QR code. (You will need the QR Code Reader to be downloaded to your phone) QR Code Scanner Pro is a FREE app that is good for non-i-Phone devices. i-Phones will have their own app.
Today, many companies, real estate offices etc. are now using QR codes for quick access to specific and trackable information.
The Revelstoke Accommodation Association will use QR tags for promoting and tracking various aspects of accommodations, special offers and promotions from RAA Members. The number of tags is only limited to what each member wants to offer! And, they are trackable!
Will this site stay the same? And, what about the desktop site?
As happens with all websites, this site will evolve over time with more information and enhancements available. Users can still access the desktop version of the RAA site on their Smart Phone and users can also access each RAA Member desktop site through the mobi site.
In the future, this format will be adopted by Revelstoke Tourism (seerevelstoke.com) to feature amny more key aspects of Revelstoke.

Should this site have more information and categories?
This new mobile website has been designed for simplicity of loading and ease-of-use. RAA Members can evolve their websites to a mobile application to further enhance their information and marketing reach. Mobile sites are not designed to be fully inclusive of all available information, but do offer those links as required and desired. It will evolve and be more inclusive as needed. Remember, it is designed for a mobile device, not a desktop computer.
