McCormick beats Szoke in both Canadian super bike races at AMP, Blaauwendraat 4th

THE NEXT GREAT STAR in Canadian motorcycle racing is falling in love with Nova Scotia.

Saskatoon’s Brett McCormick, a 17-year-old meteor on two wheels, won twice from the pole Sunday afternoon to highlight the sixth round of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship at Atlantic Motorsport Park, near Shubenacadie.

The Suzuki racer beat Kawasaki rival and ex-teammate Jordan Szoke of Brantford, Ont., the defending series champion bidding for a sixth national crown, by more than five seconds in the 22-lap super bike feature to cap his day. Each racer has three super bike wins this year.

Szoke, 30, led McCormick after the first lap, but McCormick was ahead the second time the racers came around for his second impressive victory of the day after capturing the pro sport bike event earlier. To read the rest of the article: http://thechronicleherald.ca/Sports/1136733.html

McCormick also won a pair of Atlantic Racing League races last weekend at AMP to prepare for this weekend.
