After missing qualifying in the heat, Teagan headed to the MX2 LCQ. After taking 3 laps to sort through the traffic, Teagan was on a quick lap that looked strong for qualifying. Unfortunately a downed rider and medical flag delayed his lap, and was not able to qualify for the motos. With home track advantage at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton this weekend, he is ready for a strong performance.
Danny Mathe #571
Qualifying 32nd in MX2 group 2, Danny was ready to perform on home province soil. Cement starts are a bit of a challenge for the 5’5” rider, and due to such, he was left with a 30th place start in moto 1. In an impressive ride, Danny gained 7 positions, and finished 23rd. With a less than ideal 32nd place start in moto 2, Danny rode the strongest moto of his season, by gaining 10 positions finishing 22nd. 27th overall on the day.
Trae Franklin #51
Qualifying 1
3th, Trae once again qualified within his goal. With a 19th place start in moto 1, Trae was riding strong and moved up to 12th place. Unfortunately, he got tangled up with another rider, and went down hard on a fast part of the track. Remounting in 22nd, he then moved up 4 positions and finished 18th. Going in to moto 2, Trae was feeling a bit beaten and bruised, but still put together a 11th place start. Riding smart, Trae backed down the intensity, rode a conservative pace to a 13th place finish and 15th overall on the day. Not the results he’s looking for, but not bad considering the hard crash he endured.
