To enhance the PSRA Track Program in 2011, we have added a “Spring Thaw" Endurance Race. It will be a great kick-off to the 2011 riding season, with the focus of this event on fun and socializing after a long winter break.
The PSRA will be hosting the event at 3 Flags Motorsports Park on Sunday May 15 2011. The endurance race involves race teams of 2,3,4 or more members competing on spec. mini roadracing machines (spec machines include: nsr50, crf100, ttr125, drz125 and klx 125 and others). The team with the most laps completed in two hours is the winner.
An entry fee of $100 is required for each team (teams typically consist of three riders). The PSRA has some capability to provide a spec. machine at a nominal cost and dependent on availability. The PSRA also has some capability to provide racing leathers, depending on size and availability. The race event will be sanctioned by the Canadian Motorcycle Association (CMA), which requires that each rider also purchase a CMA membership ($70) that can be used at other CMA sanctioned events during the 2011 riding season. You will be able to get your CMA membership at the event.
This event is open to PSRA members and non-members. A club membership will not be required to enter. Many of our club racers will be looking to add extra riders to make up their teams so if you’re interested in giving this a try, let us know and we’ll help make it happen. Or if you want to make up your own team with your riding buddies, you'll have a blast. For more information email:
