Local motorcycle racers lament loss of Race City

This weekend marks the final time the Calgary Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) will be able to take to the 13-turn road course at Race City Motorsport Park.

The facility, which was opened in 1987, will fall victim to municipal planning this winter, as Calgary’s city council has the track slated to become part of the Shepherd landfill at season’s end.
