A motorcyclist who led a Waterford K9 police officer on a high-speed chase that ended with the officer being critically injured boasted on Facebook that he successfully "ran from the cops," Waterford Police Chief Daniel McCaw said Friday.

The man has been identified, but not arrested, although police impounded his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, McCaw said. Police said they won't release his name while the investigation continues. The man is believed to be in his 20s and has a history of speeding through several communities and boasting about it, McCaw said Friday. READ ON
