Audi Mottorad Back in 2012, Audi acquired Italian motorbike manufacturer Ducati under their Lamborghini arm, and with the acquisition, we guess it’s only fair that many are wondering if Audi has plans to start manufacturing motorbikes of their own in the future. While that may or may not happen, or if Audi will be content to let Ducati continue what they are doing, some designers have come up with an interesting and sleek concept of what an Audi-manufactured motorbike might look like. Not a long time ago, reputed workshop DP Customs has launched a design contest for one of their future bikes, and here's one stunning idea coming from a guy simply named Paolo: a Ferrari F40-themed Harley-Davidson we can't take our eyes off.

The design contest had some basic rules, but the most important one was that the concept had to use a Sportster as a base model. Some believed this was too much of a restriction, but after seeing this F40-inspired concept bike, we started to understand that there is more to the Sportster than meets the eye of somebody who is not a designer. Motocrossboard For reasons we can only guess at, the U.S. military has sharply drawn down their use of motorcycles. Might there be an alternative? Georgia-based inventor Andy Keel thinks so.

Way back in the '90s Keel was looking to create an off-road vehicle for his own use, and he wanted to combine his passions of snowboarding and dirt bike riding. After much tinkering he came up with theMotocrossboard, a sort of off-road powered skateboard. It combined the knobby tire style of an off-road motorbike with the leaning carve-abiity of a snowboard. After working out the mechanical issues, Keel had his 74-year-old father—who was not a snowboarder, by the way—try riding the thing. It was so easy to ride that his father picked it up in minutes.
