Motorcyclist Dies in Palm Springs Accident

A Canadian man died after being hit by a car early Saturday morning in Palm Springs.

The man was riding a motorcycle southbound on South Palm Canyon Drive.

At 12:34 a.m., he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center divider, and crashed.

When he tried to stand up, he was struck by an oncoming car.

He was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center and died from his injuries a short time later

Officials have identified the victim as a 57 year-old from British Columbia, but have not released his name.
