Alberta man killed in crash near Fernie, wife in Calgary hospital

Mounties in southeast B.C. have identified a Red Deer man killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon.
Police say 60-year-old Henry Meinema was driving the bike and his 60-year-old wife, Valerie, was in the sidecar of their Honda when it veered off the road near the Fernie Alpine Resort.
Valerie is still fighting for life in Calgary Foothills Hospital.
Police are trying to figure out what led to the crash noting the weather was good at the time.
