On Sunday, two separate early morning collisions in Surrey left one motorcyclist dead and 88th Avenue partly closed due to downed power lines, according to police.
A 48-year old eastbound motorcyclist collided with the rear end of a car on 88th Avenue and 150th Street shortly before 1 a.m., killing the rider at the scene. After the crash, the motorcycle slid for almost a full block, said RCMP Sgt. Paul Reshaur. The female driver of the car was uninjured and police suspect that speed might have been a factor.
