Motorcyclist loses leg after crash Driver levied $260 fine

Jeffrey Morden's life was changed forever after a minivan allegedly ran a red light, slammed into his motorcycle and damaged one leg so severely it had to be amputated.

Morden, a 47-year-old forklift driver with three children, is recovering at Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital following the Aug. 6 afternoon accident at Wyandotte Street East and George Avenue.

The driver of the minivan, 55-year-old Jozef Tna of Windsor, has been charged with failing to stop at a red light, which carries a $260 set fine plus a $65 victim fine surcharge. READ ON
