A 21-year-old Milton man suffered serious injuries after losing control of his motocross bike on a Third Line property Sunday afternoon.
Halton Police were called to the motorcycle accident shortly before 3 p.m. Upon their arrival they found the rider had sustained back injuries after he was thrown from his Suzuki 125 motorcycle.
He was airlifted to a Hamilton-area hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.
Police did not release his name.
He is an experienced rider who was training on private property.
At the time of the collision the man was wearing all the required safety equipment. Police say alcohol and speed don’t appear to be contributing factors in the accident.
The accident is under investigation by the Collision Reconstruction Unit. Witnesses are asked to call Det. Const. Andy Dennis at 905-878-5511 ext. 5189 or Det. Const. Cormier at ext. 5066.
