Mountie convicted of obstructing justice still hasn't been fired

SURREY - The RCMP still hasn't fired Cpl. Benjamin "Monty" Robinson.

The Mountie was convicted more than six weeks ago of obstruction of justice in connection with the 2008 traffic crash that killed Orion Hutchinson, 21, in South Delta.

At that time, Assistant RCMP Commissioner Norm Lipinski, district commander for the Lower Mainland, said Deputy Commissioner Craig Callens is seeking Robinson's dismissal. READ ON
