Much has been written about Canada's pioneers--from the early explorers, to the immigrants who settled on the land, to the construction of the great railroads, which united this nation from sea to sea. But until now, two of Canada's most famous pioneers have remained in relative obscurity, perhaps because it's an area we don't really associate with Canada's early history. That is, Canada's two-wheeled history-- the venerable motorcycle. For the first time, author and Calgary Herald Driving columnist Greg Williams, offers some insights into this subject, in his new book, Prairie Dust, Motorcycles and a Typewriter: The Story of Bernie Nicholson and Modern Motorcycle Mechanics. According to Williams, Nicholson, of Nicholson Bros. Motorcycles (est. 1933) in Saskatoon, was more than just a prairie motorcycle dealer.
