Shopping with Ninja-ease

30 1

As many of you know I got a new Ninja 250r for my seventeenth b-day to get to school, to work, and to travel around the countryside with. It turns heads everywhere. I’m hoping the turning heads have something to do with me. However the boys aren’t exactly throwing themselves at my feet so I thought there should be someway to put the Ninja to work to fix that problem.

Lately the price of gas has risen about twenty cents a gallon here, even more from some of its previous lows, which bothers me no end. Now it could just be the coming summer holidays, a money challenged Quebec government or some other explanation and it will drop at some point but I don’t want to be caught if it doesn’t.

So I thought ‘how about putting my motorbike to work’. So I volunteered to work with the Quebec Students, specifically CLASSE.

As part of my job, I will shuttle printed material to sub-groups on Thursdays. That day, today, I had a plan that was less than work related.

It involved riding on one of the motorways, which can be a little daunting with the trucks flying by, and takes me through a few hilly spots. It did fine going to the work site and got me there in plenty of time.

It turned out to be a handy tool too. I had to run off and deliver a prescription, fetch lunch and buy a part for my mom’s bar which was much easier some days than others. It is easier to park my motorbike and maneuver it around some of the places I went to in my travels.

Near the end of the day, it was a pleasant ride home on my little commuter although my plan didn’t happen. I’m guessing this won’t be the last time I use it for work or a plan. It’s too convenient.

So, my plan: I was given information packs to deliver to some of the student sub-groups. I filled my daypack with a bottle of wine, Cheese, and a loaf of bread from the marché atwater in case I ran into Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois. Gabriel est le co-porte-parole de la Coalition large de l’Association pour une Solidarité Syndicale Étudiante (CLASSE).

In case of a chance meeting, I didn’t want to look like anyone, so naturally stopped at on of my favourite shops for a new outfit - see photo. I’m confident that I’ve got the combination - hot motorbike and hot rider, that just may get Gabriel’s attention.

Long story short - he wash’t there. :( On a happy note, I have a new outfit and bottle of wine, cheese and great bread.

I’ll have mini-adventures every time I need a gallon of fuel or loaf of bread. Stay tuned! “
