Ernie O's Toy Run - Edson

The Toy Run gathers motorcyclists and classic car enthusiasts from Jasper, Hinton, Grand Cache, Whitecourt, Edson and surrounding areas. We promote a family atmosphere coming together to benefit this community fundraiser. Over 160 motorcycles and a dozen classic cars take part in the parade and festivities. A 14 foot enclosed trailer was almost filled with toys and $4000.00 cash raised with raffles, silent auction items from local businesses and donations.
 
This year we anticipate the Toy Run will continue to grow with increased participants and community involvement. We will continue to have raffles and silent auction items with 100% of the proceeds to the Kinette Club of Edson and their Christmas Hamper Project. We sell toy run t-shirts and hats with a portion of the proceeds (after t-shirt cost is removed) going to the Kinette Club. We are starting to collect new, unwrapped toys here at Ernie O’s. As it is hard for the motorcyclists to carry the toys, we ask that all toys be dropped off between noon and 3 pm at Ernie O’s
 
on the day of the Toy Run. Parade route will likely be the same as last year (baring construction). As soon as we have parade approvals in place, maps will be available at Ernie O’s. Please keep in mind the Toy Run parade has to move at a faster pace then most parades as slow speeds are hard on the motorbikes and riders, especially if we are blessed with warm weather.
 
I am contacting you today in the hopes you can help spread the word, possibly on the community events calendar and web page, in any way you can to make this toy run bigger and better each year! Are you a motorcycle or classic car enthusiast? You are more then welcome to come down and join in the fun!!! All we ask is you bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Kinette Christmas Hamper Project.
