If you are into vintage motorcycling, and who isn't to some degree these days, Vintage Rally 2012 at the National Motorcycle Museum really has got it all. A bike show, swap meet, vintage motorcycling panel discussions, all set at one of America's greatest motorcycle museums. And it's wrapped up with a Sunday morning ride in the hills of eastern Iowa and even a pro hillclimb competition! Anamosa, Iowa is the place, June 1, 2 & 3 are the dates.
The Bike Show is Saturday, June 2. Motorcycle Classics magazine is sponsoring awards to the owners of the best 1986 and earlier American, British, European and Japanese bikes in the show. ACE Cafe is sponsoring awards for the Cafe Racer class for bikes built through 2012. New this year is a special class for drag bikes built through 2012. Ray Price Harley-Davidson Racing will park their 83 foot state-of-the-art race rig along with the team's two fresh top fuel bikes. At 3:45 on Saturday we'll invite any drag bike owners to rattle the Museum's windows. Got a bike you'd like to enter in the Bike Show? It's quick and easy to sign up at the Vintage Rally 2012 website. www.nationalmcmuseum.org READ ON
