Bikers flaunt their mean machines at IBW 2014. Pics/J Sayed - See more at: are at the second largest two-wheeler market of the world. Yet, until recently, an event such as the India Bike Week (IBW), was nothing more than a distant dream for petrol-heads of our country.

In its second edition, over 7,000 motorcycle devotees from across the country gathered to create history and celebrate India’s largest biking festival in Goa. I can’t imagine another place where puny bikes like the KTM 200 Duke and Yamaha R15 would share parking space with the mighty Valkyrie Rune and Indian Chief.

Please join us at The Rock Wood Fired Pizza (Belmar) on February 9th from 3 pm to 8:00 pm. to honor and raise funds for fallen police officer Sgt. David Baldwin of the Jefferson County Police. Sgt. Baldwin was killed in the line of duty in Golden on Sunday. The Rock will donate 10% of all the sales from 3pm to 8pm. Here is a little more background on St. Baldwin
Baldwin was on patrol at the time of his death, on a stretch of highway he'd expressed safety concerns over in the past. Keeping the road safe was his mission, one Baldwin gave his life trying to complete.
Jefferson County and the sheriff's department is remembering Sgt. Baldwin's 27 years of service.
"He never had a bad day [and] always had a smile on his face," Jefferson County Sheriff Ted Mink said.
His passion was service. He often went the extra mile, even on a road he knew well. It's the road where he lost his life.
"He did beyond his 40 hours because what was required of him [and] because he loved his job," Mink said.
Mink said there was no pressure on Baldwin to work longer. But concern came from the deputy himself.
"I'm afraid that accidents that result in serious bodily injuries or fatalities are going to go up," Baldwin said last September.
In a 9NEWS interview from 2013, Baldwin said the traffic unit he led could not keep up a strong presence on Highway 93. It was a funding issue.
"His passion was traffic enforcement and he wanted to make sure the deputies focused on the those high accident locations being 93," Mink said.
Baldwin died while patrolling 93 on his motorcycle. He was hit head-on by 83-year-old Kenneth Hosch.
Officials plan to charge Hosch, but haven't yet.
Baldwin, who also recently earned the Sheriff's Star for his service during the Colorado floods would've turned 51 next week.
