Motorcycle run to follow St. Croix, Mississippi river roads

SportsWith 30,000 motorcyclists expected to ride through the state on Saturday, the Minnesota Department of Public Safety is urging drivers to be safe.

Motorcyclists will be participating in the Spring Flood Run, which takes riders along the St. Croix and Mississippi rivers from Lakeland to Winona. It marks the unofficial start of motorcycle season.

The kick-off point for the ride, which raises money for Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, will be the Beach Bar on St. Croix Trail in Lakeland. Breakfast begins at 8 a.m., "kickstands up" at 10:30 a.m. READ ON
