Columbia/Legacy Recordings is celebrating Janis Joplin with the release of two essential new titles in the catalog of the American blues-rock-country-soul singer, Janis Joplin.
Called ‘The Pearl Sessions’ the two-disc set will be available on April 17th and features newly discovered studio recordings produced by Paul Rothchild along with Big Brother and the Holding Company as well as Janis Joplin. ‘Live at the Carousel Ballroom 1968’ an electrifying full-length concert recorded and produced for release by the legendary soundman Owsley ("Bear") Stanley will be available Tuesday, March 13.
