EDMONTON — Motorcycles racing near downtown early Monday morning were no match for the Edmonton police helicopter.
Police observed seven motorcycles racing westbound on 98th Avenue from the 84th Street traffic circle shortly before 1:35 a.m. Monday. The motorcycles were speeding and weaving around other vehicles.
The police helicopter and several other units followed the speeding bikers.
Officers eventually caught the motorcyclists when they stopped at a red light at 107th Avenue and Groat Road.
