OTTAWA — A preliminary hearing got under way Tuesday for a Gatineau man accused of dangerous driving in a collision that killed former Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff’s senior communications aide and former ambassador, Mario Lague.
Giuseppe Oppedisano, 51, was charged with a single count of dangerous driving causing death five months after the Aug. 12, 2010 collision that killed Lague, 52.
The husband and father of two was riding his new blue Honda Shadow motorcycle along Scott Street toward his office on Parliament Hill when a grey Mitsubishi SUV abruptly turned in front of the bike at Parkdale Avenue. READ ON
