More than two dozen motorcycle riders thundered onto Fifth Street Saturday morning. Their destination was the Open Arms mission, and they brought with them packages of crackers, bags of pasta and cans of vegetables and soups. In all, they brought several hundred pounds of non-perishable food for the food bank.
The Southern Cruisers Riding Club (Erie Shores chapter) is a family-oriented motorcycle club that promotes safe riding. The Erie Shores chapter takes in Welland, Port Colborne and Pelham, and Frank Chiasson says the group enjoys not only riding together, but doing good for their community.
