Motorcycle helmet, sobriety bills stall in Oregon Legislature

Oregon motorcycle riders will have to keep wearing helmets, it appears.

They and other motorists, though, are not going to be stopped at checkpoints to see if they are drunk.

A bill that would give motorcycle riders and their passengers 21 years and older a choice of whether to wear a helmet has stalled in the legislature.
