LAS VEGAS (AP) — A prosecutor opened trial for eight acknowledged Hells Angels motorcycle club members with a video showing a brawl with rival Mongols members at a downtown Las Vegas wedding chapel.
Assistant Clark County District Attorney Chris Owens said Monday the 60-second battle between the outlaw motorcycle gangs stemmed from an unprovoked attack.
But defense attorney Tom Pitaro, representing John Merchant, cast the brawl as self-defense. Pitaro told jurors the Hells Angels were at A Special Memory Wedding Chapel for a marriage ceremony, not a fight, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported. READ ON
