Thousands of Americans ride their bikes to enjoy Nova Scotia’s Cabot Trail, the best place in Canada to ride a motorcycle. I want to give back to our American biker friends by raising money for a charity that they cherish. I chose Rolling Thunder Charities as the sole benefactor. The major function of Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is to publicize POW-MIA issues and are also committed to helping American veterans from all wars. Rolling Thunder is a solid organization with 93 Chapters (as of 2010) all over the United States of America. Their Charity work is directed solely by volunteers and 100% of collected funds are passed on to the cause. Each year, I will ride from Nova Scotia to Bangor, Maine, to hand over the monies raised. This year, President Billy White, RT Chapter 2, ME will lead a ride from Sanford, ME to meet us. This is open to all motorcycles. I'm leaving Arisaig, Nova Scotia at 8am on Friday, September 9th, 2011. Staying close to, or in, Bangor Friday Night, and meet up with Rolling Thunder members and the US contingent of the 911 ride in Bangor at 11am.
