Time to head to Bangor again for this years edition of the 911 ride!

Hello to All of My Biker Friends!

It's coming close - my annual ride to Bangor where I'm going to meet up with President Billy White and company from Rolling Thunder Inc Chapter II, ME.

If you are new to my list I have added you because of your interest in riding the Cabot Trail by Motorcycle.  Every August I'll ask of you to join me for a real nice run to cap off the riding season.  The run is annual, and will be on the weekend of activities to remember the ones who lost their lives because of the horrific 911 terrorist attack.  10 years ago...can you believe it?

My friend Ron Irving is busy rounding up some bikers and a few donations to go to the charity.  I will, once again this year, make a donation from a portion of the sale of the Original Cabot Trail Motorcycle T-Shirts that you folks purchased.  If anyone out there can't go, but would like a donation made in their name, please contact me.

I was really moved by the amazing stories of generosity, charity, and goodwill that I heard of and witnessed with Rolling Thunder, Ch 2, ME.  These volunteers are incredible hosts and will end up being lifelong friends should any of you come along for the ride.

911 Ride from Nova Scotia, Canada to Maine, USA

Thousands of Americans ride their bikes to enjoy Nova Scotia’s Cabot Trail, the best place in Canada to ride a motorcycle.  I want to give back to our American biker friends by raising money for a charity that they cherish.  I chose Rolling Thunder Charities as the sole benefactor.  The major function of Rolling Thunder®, Inc. is to publicize POW-MIA issues and are also committed to helping American veterans from all wars.  Rolling Thunder is a solid organization with 93 Chapters (as of 2010) all over the United States of America.  Their Charity work is directed solely by volunteers and 100% of collected funds are passed on to the cause.   Each year, I will ride from Nova Scotia to Bangor, Maine, to hand over the monies raised.  This year, President Billy White, RT Chapter 2, ME will lead a ride from Sanford, ME to meet us.  This is open to all motorcycles.  I'm leaving Arisaig, Nova Scotia at 8am on Friday, September 9th, 2011.  Staying close to, or in, Bangor Friday Night, and meet up with Rolling Thunder members and the US contingent of the 911 ride in Bangor at 11am.
