Tom Borcherdt knows the importance of never giving up, be it in racing or in his life.

The Deerfield resident has won an amateur vintage motorcycle racing championship, set two land speed records on a motorcycle he built himself, and he’s beat cancer.Tom is a lifelong bike nut, having built his first motorcycle at the age of 14 from a lawn mower engine and a bicycle.
