PORT COLBORNE — Enthusiasts were revved up Sunday when their prize machines were on display as part of the Canal Days motorcycle show.
While the weather did dampen turnout for the third annual Motorcycle Rally, Show and Shine, a number of bikers from the area, as well as from as far as Oakville and Georgetown, lined up their motorcycles to see who would win bragging rights — and top pick for people’s choice.
“Over the last couple of years we’ve been getting 30 or so (bikes),” said organizer Rene Landry.
With the rain there were a few less bikes in the show, which is completely open to bikers and free to the public.
As a young show, Landry said word of the event, just one of many Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival activities, is starting to spread.
