The loud roar of a car engine or the crack of a motorcycle exhaust may soon meet its match - the sonic equivalent of photo radar.
City councillors must decide on Monday whether to examine decibel-detecting "noise snare" technology being deployed in Calgary to catch and ticket loud cars, trucks and motorcycles.
The noise snare technology - being supported by Saskatoon police Chief Clive Weighill - could only be used in Saskatchewan if there was a change in provincial legislation allowing police to use photo radar. READ ON
