The Volunteer Executive Committee of Edmonton’s Motorcycle Ride For Dad is very pleased to announce that the final total of funds raised in the 2008 Motorcycle Ride For Dad was
$255,211.00.
For comparison’s sake the first Edmonton Motorcycle Ride For Dad, held in 2007, raised $85,455.00.
The Motorcycle Ride for Dad, Canada’s biggest motorcycle event in support of the fight against Prostate Cancer, has raised millions of dollars to fund research, education, and awareness about this disease. While the Ride first started in Ottawa in 2000 and has since grown to seventeen Rides in major cities across Canada, 2008 marked the second anniversary of the Ride in Edmonton. In true Edmonton fashion, the amount of funds raised here in 2008 was the second largest out of all the Rides! All funds pledged in Edmonton, stay in Edmonton.
