The next best thing to riding is restoring

After a life-changing accident, Doug Skorpack's love of bikes has not diminished

"I believe they should have a new life," said Skorpack, of taking on such a project. But, still too nervous to ride, Skorpack sold the bike.

It wasn't until 2003 that he felt he could ride again. Skorpack found a 1975 Goldwing online -- the very same year and candy-blue colour as his crashed bike -- that needed a lot of work.
