I had the distinct pleasure to stay at theWhistler’s Inn on a recent sales trip to Jasper.
This hotel’s staff sure
takes its customer service seriously!
From Vanessa Hugie, General Manager toTammy the manager in the bar to“Nuef” in maintenance or Mike – the only guy I met at the front desk to any of the ladies of the front desk staff…customer service is obviously important to these people.
Mike was the man who checked me in and he was so thorough, made sure I knew where everything was, and asked if I felt good about where my motorcycle was parked and offered to give me a hand with all of my gear.
The room I took was befitting the budget of a community newspaper editor, but the amenities and comfort were not. They were far above what I expected. The bed in the room I was in was perfect for me. When I got up in the mornings I felt refreshed.
The coffee that was supplied in the room, while not in the same league, as the Biker Coffee Company’s was certainly tasty.(I am just spoiled with the Certified Organic Belt Drive Betty Blend is all) I also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of water, after a day out on the bike it was a welcome treat!
The food in the sports bar was AWESOME. And here too, the service was attentive.
The patrons were relaxed and enjoying their world cup soccer and I was enjoying the conversation and laughs with the locals. I only ate in the dining room here once – in Jasper there is no shortage of fare to try and so I tried out a variety of restaurants.
My room was an economy. In high season this room goes for $195/ In May 139 and in off season $105. As I said, it fit my budget and offered everything I needed
The hot tub and sauna were something I took advantage of at every opportunity, I enjoyed the atmosphere up on the rooftop.
The riding in this region truly makes one’s soul soar! You can’t help but feel good here. The incredible view of the mountains coupled with the warmth of the hot tub made a sore body feel as good as it’s soul.
For those who have children or have needs for more spacious rooms, the Whistler’s Inn can accommodate you. This charming hotel is surprisingly versatile! (It even has an elevator!)
The suite is gorgeous! Two King beds, a fireplace, hardwood floors, big living room and the most beautiful views from the floor to ceiling windows. This suite is perfect for entertaining, as a honeymoon suite or for a family! In off-season the room is $185 and during high season it is $339
The standard room at the whistler’s Inn is also well appointed.
I like the fact that the windows open and that even an inside room that has no view still has a window for fresh air.
I enjoyed my stay at the Whistler’s Inn very much. The staff treated me very well, the parking for my bike was very acceptable, the room was wonderful and the views and the riding were fantastic.
Jasper - if you haven’t ridden it - you really should consider it. There are so many day trips you can make around there that 3 days is a short stay!
