Garry Crawford, co-chair of the Motorcycle Ride for Dad, hopes to change attitudes of men towards prostate cancer.
“Men tend to think of themselves as 10-feet tall and bulletproof and a lot of the time we don’t get ourselves checked because we don’t want to know,” he said. “Women have done so much better than us with the breast cancer issues because, let’s face it, breasts are a whole lot more fun to talk about than that part of our anatomy.”
The Motorcycle Ride for Dad on Saturday could reach the $1-million mark since the event came to Edmonton in 2007.
