‘Ride for Dad’ Raises More Than $95K to Fight Prostate Cancer

Nearly 500 motorcycle riders rode through the streets of Winnipeg on Saturday in the 2011 Manitoba Motorcycle Ride for Dad.

The annual event raises support to fight prostate cancer and fund research for the disease.

The ride began on Portage Avenue and travelled west, where riders were led by a police escort to Assiniboia Downs. From there, riders drove to Gimli before making their way back to the city for a wind-up party at Cowboys in Windsor Park.
