NTERLAKE - More than 600 Manitobans rode from Winnipeg through the rain Sunday morning before arriving in Winnipeg Beach to sunny skies and streets teeming with fellow riders and local residents alike.

June 5 was a day of nonstop celebration for all involved in the Breast Cancer Pledge Ride this year. Not only did the ride raise a record amount of dollars for the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, a record number of riders registered this year; while 2011 marks the ride's 10th anniversary.

About 575 motorcycles carrying 650 riders, many of whom have been involved in the ride from its beginning, set out from the Assiniboia Downs early Sunday morning. They travelled from Rosser up to Stonewall and Teulon before turning east at Komarno and proceeding onto Winnipeg Beach, which was the midday stop.
