CENTREVILLE - The 2010 Carleton County Toy Run, held to benefit kids in local hospitals and other health-care facilities, enjoyed day of beautiful weather for the bikers who rode July 17 in the annual event.

The Toy Run Association, based in Florenceville-Bristol, has almost four dozen members who meet each month to plan activities and fundraisers for children.

The biggest fundraiser of all is the Centreville to Perth-Andover Carleton County Toy Run each July. This year, it saw about 300 motorcycles and their riders take part.

In addition to those 300 bikes that rolled along the highways from Centreville to Perth-Andover, another 400-500 bikes and bikers showed up this year to partake of events held at Muniac Park at the border of Carleton and Victoria counties along Highway 105 on July 17.
