Friends of a father and son who were seriously injured in a June motorcycle accident are organizing a benefit for the family.
A silent auction for Cory Edmondson and his son Cole will take place Sunday at the Twenty/20 Club on Regent Street in Fredericton from 7-10 p.m.
On June 30, Cory and five-year-old Cole were travelling on a motorcycle on the Lincoln Road when a left-turning vehicle cut them off.
Cole has returned home from hospital and his mother is continuing to care for him. Cory remains in the Saint John Regional Hospital, but is showing signs of improvement, his friend Trevor Reid said.
"Cole is coming along really well. He has a cast on his leg," Reid said. "I consider him to be a trooper."
