Todd Faasse and Dayle Downs-Tonotchi were the lead riders of the motorcycle club they called Phoenix M.C. Kruzers.
It was a beautiful March afternoon in 2010, and they were stopped at a red light on Carefree Highway in north Phoenix. Eight other bikers were fanned out behind them.
Suddenly, Downs-Tonotchi yelled, “Look out!” When Faasse turned to see what she was warning him about, he saw a 23,000-pound truck bearing down on them like a snowplow, scooping up motorcycles and riders and tossing them through the air.
“I looked death right in the face,” Faasse told a Maricopa County Superior Court jury Monday. READ ON
