Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers is trying something new.

The inaugural Motorcycle Poker Run takes place rain or shine on Sunday, June 26, at the Polish Hall on Pearl Street.

“This is a non-traditional fundraiser for Crime Stoppers,” said Crime Stoppers chair Leslie Barker. “We are reaching out to a new group of people.”

The event replaces the former Jail-N-Bail event that saw local dignitaries locked up in cages at the Lynden Park Mall and raising money to make bail.

Registration for the Poker Run begins at 11 a.m. at the Polish Hall, where riders will be served lunch and pick up their first card. The ride officially kicks off at 1 p.m.
