Tenacious, loyal, brave and honest are words the firefighting friends of Darrell Ellwood used to describe him during a tree planting ceremony in his honour on Saturday.

Ellwood, a veteran Windsor firefighter, died of multiple myeloma last Christmas. He was 50.

The red oak tree was planted outside of the newly built Fire Station No. 7 on Matthew Brady Boulevard. READ ON
