Santa Clause made an unseasonable stop in the Friendly City, leading a procession of hundreds of motorbikes up Main Street on Saturday, filling downtown with the deafening rumble of four-stroke engines and rattling exhaust pipes, as well as filling the front lawn at the local Salvation Army church with toys.
“I think it went really good, just by the number of toys,” said event organizer and Moose Jaw Cycle Association president Murray Roney, adding there was no exact number of bikers participating in the annual Toy Run, but he estimates at least 300 bikes passed through the Friendly City of charity.
