After bringing it to New York, Minneapolis and Chicago, the CanAm Spyder hybrid roadster concept is to face the public for the first time in Canada during the Montreal Motorcycle Show.
The event will take place at the Convention Center from February 25 to 27 in Montreal, Quebec.
BRP announced the four-year research and development project for a plug-in hybrid electric version of the CanAm Spyder RS roadster last December, in partnership with the Centre de technologies avancees BRP-Universite de Sherbrooke and with funding from the Government of Canada's Automotive Partnership Program.
“In 2010, the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) adopted a ruling that permits them to issue a certificate allowing people to drive three-wheeled vehicles as long as they hold a Class 5 driver’s licence (passenger vehicle) and have attended a seven-hour training course given by a recognized motorcycle driving school,” a company statement reads.
