A minor fender bender turned into a night in jail and a slew of criminal charges for a 30-year-old motorcycle rider who was involved in a collision with an unmarked police car.

Allen Firlott, who has short dark hair and a large tattoo on his left arm, appeared in court on Wednesday afternoon to answer to five charges laid against him after Saint John police arrested him the day before on the city's east side.
