Police are searching for two motorcyclists that got away during a high speed chase on the Metropolitan Expressway early Thursday morning.

The chase started at around 3:15 AM on the Highway 40 eastbound at Stinson.  The three motorcyclists quickly separated and police managed to follow one.

The Sûreté du Québec says the chase ended in residential streets of Anjou when the suspect in his twenties road on the sidewalk and was doored by a police cruiser.  READ ON

MONTREAL - A young Quebec driver on trial in the deaths of two motorcyclists wasn't just trying to shoo ducks off a highway when a fatal collision happened — she says she planned to bring them home.

Emma Czornobaj recounted her version of the events of June 27, 2010, that led to the deaths of a father and his teenage daughter after they slammed into her stopped car south of Montreal.

The 25-year-old is charged with two counts each of criminal negligence causing death and dangerous driving causing the deaths of Andre Roy, 50, and his 16-year-old daughter, Jessie, after stopping her car to tend to ducks.  READ ON
